Glide Window Cleaning

Privacy Policy

Effective September 11, 2026

The Glide App is an internal operations tool built and operated by Glide Cleaners for its own employees. It is not a consumer product. Access requires an account created for you by Glide management, and everything in the app relates to your work: your branch’s performance numbers, your schedule, your jobs, and the customer records you need to do them. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and who it goes to.

Who this applies to

This policy covers people who sign in to the Glide App — technicians, branch managers, office staff, and leadership at Glide Cleaners. If you are a Glide customer rather than an employee, this policy is not the one that governs your service relationship with us; contact us at the address below and we will point you to the right one.

What the app collects

Account information. Your name, work email address, and password, along with your role and branch assignment. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are stored only as salted hashes — nobody at Glide can read them.

Work activity. The app records what you do inside it: pages you open, checklists you complete, notes and damage claims you file, tickets you submit, and time-clock entries. This is operational record-keeping, not surveillance of your device.

Photos you choose to take or attach. Job checklists and work conversations can include photos — uniform checks, before and after shots, documentation of an issue at a property. The app asks for camera and photo-library permission only when you use those features, and only uploads the specific images you attach. It never browses your photo library on its own.

Voice and audio. When you use calling, voice messages, voicemail, or sales voice practice, the app requests microphone access as needed. Voice messages you send and voicemail are stored so their recipients can play them. Voice practice processes your audio through Deepgram and uses Anthropic for the practice conversation and coaching; transcripts and feedback are saved as training records. Call audio is processed through Twilio.

Map location. The sales map can request your location to center the map near you while you use it. You can decline and move the map manually. The app does not continuously track your device in the background. Canvassing pins, their coordinates, and the notes you submit are saved as work records.

Diagnostics. App errors and limited technical details, such as the page and browser involved, are sent to our servers to diagnose failures and improve reliability.

Notification tokens. If you enable push notifications, the app stores the device token needed to deliver them. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

Business data drawn from our systems. The app displays operational records that already live in Glide’s systems — appointments, routes, subscriptions, tickets, payments, customer contact details and service history, and vehicle safety data associated with your driving during work hours. The app is a window onto those records; it does not create a separate copy of your personal life.

What the app does not collect

It contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell personal information, and we never have.

How we use it

Account information authenticates you and decides what you are allowed to see — a technician sees their own numbers, a branch manager sees their branch, leadership sees the company. Work activity powers the performance metrics, coaching conversations, bonus calculations, and operational reporting the app exists to provide. Photos document work quality and resolve disputes about job condition. Notification tokens deliver alerts about your jobs and schedule.

We use this data to run the business and to manage and support the people who work here. We do not use it for any purpose unrelated to your employment at Glide.

Customer information

To do their jobs, employees see customer names, service addresses, phone numbers, service history, and billing status. That information belongs to Glide Cleaners and its customers, and it is visible in the app strictly on a need-to-know basis, scoped to your role and branch. If you are an employee, you may use what you see only for Glide work — not to contact customers personally, and not to take customer information with you if you leave.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that operate the system on our behalf, each under contract and only to the extent they need it:

  • Supabase — authentication and the application database.
  • Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
  • FieldRoutes — our field-service management system, the source of appointment, customer, and billing records.
  • Twilio — text-message and voice communication with customers and staff.
  • Deepgram and Anthropic — speech processing, practice conversations, and coaching for sales voice training.
  • Geotab — vehicle telematics behind the truck-safety scores.
  • Apple and Google — delivery of push notifications to your device.

Beyond that, we disclose information only when the law requires it, or when it is necessary to protect the safety of our people, customers, or property.

Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Access is gated by individual accounts with role-restricted permissions, and database access is restricted at the row level so an account can only reach the records its role allows. Administrative access to the underlying data is limited to a small number of people who need it.

How long we keep it

Operational and performance records are retained for as long as they are useful to the business and as long as employment and tax law requires us to keep them. When your employment ends, your account is deactivated and you lose access to the app; the historical work records associated with you remain part of Glide’s business records.

Your choices

You can turn push notifications off in your device settings, and you can decline camera, photo-library, microphone, and location permission — the rest of the app keeps working; the corresponding capture or location feature is unavailable. To ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct something that is wrong, or to ask about deletion, email us at the address below. We respond to employee requests directly, and we honor the rights that state privacy laws give you where they apply.

Children

The Glide App is a workplace tool for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles personal information, we will update this page and move the effective date at the top. Material changes will also be communicated through the app or by email.
